A Documentary Film
For Public & Media Release:Windsor entertainment and multimedia production company OMS Entertainment, along with partners EP Productions and My Good Movie, has commenced production on a local Windsor music related documentary film. The basis of this film is "music being a universal language." The film will follow a hand-picked group of 4 local musicians who will perform a live show without having played together as a group. In fact, until they perform LIVE, they will not even know who the band is comprised of. The film will also contain many interviews with local influential artists, radio personalities, music stores, record stores and others. We request your LIVE video footage & your music CD's for the film:VIDEO - We wish to include footage of local Windsor acts in the film - past & present / any style. This will be used during the interview segments of the film. Footage can be from a bar, club, hall, benefit, outdoor show, battle, or other event and can include solo artists, duos, bands, orchestras, etc. We reserve the right to choose what is most appropriate for the film. This could mean language, video quality, sound quality, etc. We encourage you all to send footage. We will include as much as possible. There's no guarantee we will use all submissions, as we can only include so much. AUDIO - If you would like to also include an audio CD, or only an audio CD please be sure it is well labelled (if it's not a professional/commercial release). However, this must be an audio CD - no mp3's or other music files will be accepted. Again, we reserve the right to choose what is most appropriate for the film, and we look forward to your submissions. PHOTOS - We are also accepting photos, live or promo pics and bios or other documents are beneficial in the event we can include other information. ARCHIVAL - We are looking for any Windsor music-related archival footage, photos, documents, news paper & magazine clippings and other media associated with Windsor's music past. We are talking Elmwood, Metropole and other past materials OR INFORMATION. We realize archival media may be on loan. We have access to copy or digitize most media. IF YOU HAVE ARCHIVAL MEDIA - please contact us at archival_submissions@4onthefloor.ca Submission requirements:We require you to sign this media release form allowing us to use your materials. The only compensation we can offer is adding the materials and crediting the used footage in the film. Also, the fact that we plan to submit this film to a number of film festivals is pretty cool, too. Aside from the media release form, the only requirement is that you supply us with the best possible footage/representation of your band or performance and/or best possible audio recordings or photos. For video, we will need the highest quality you can provide on a DVD or CD. They can be Quicktime movie files, avi's, etc - pretty much any standard format (preferrably no WMV or WMA files). Again, the best quality/largest file size possible. You can provide finished DVD's if that's what you have. We can pull footage from that format. Please send at least one or two songs. As for audio CD's, we encourage full-length commercial CD's or EP's, but if you only have a song or two, that's fine, but no mp3's - burn an audio CD. Please note we will not return any submissions. Also, make sure any writing on your disc, envelope and media release form is clear, legible and matching. We welcome the inclusion of any other information such as bios or photos, especially information about the material you are sending, such as dates, venues, etc. Please be sure labeling is correct for possible titling in the film and the highest possible quality for any documents or photos is highly recommended. Again, the material you submit will not be returned - SEND COPIES - this does not apply to ARCHIVAL MATERIAL - see ARCHIVAL above.Archival media is different than standard submissions.
